“If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.” (Pro 28:9)
Welcome to Mosaic-Law.com. This site is dedicated to answer the above question – and yes, it is a quote, believe it or not. But even if most Christians nowadays are not THAT ignorant, they still have tremendous difficulties with God’s Law, it seems. Our experience is that most Christians today fall in either of the following three categories:
- They hold that none of the Law that Moses received is binding for Christians – well, let’s say, none but the Ten Commandments, or rather, the Nine Commandments, for the Sabbath Command certainly doesn’t stand anymore like it did, or does it ? You can already see how quickly people who hold to this view run into problems.
- They hold that only those aspects of the Law mentioned in the New Testament are still valid – and largely ignore the case laws, which means that they misunderstand almost every instance in which the Pharisees tested Jesus. Since the Pharisees always tried to accuse Jesus of breaking the Law, they tested him on grounds of the Law, and to understand both their questions and Jesus’ reaction in a manner that is consistent with the rest of Scripture, you have to know the Old Testament Law, it is as simple as that.
- They hold that God’s Law is still valid, but they hop, skip and jump when it comes to specific laws, or God’s appointed judgments for sin. Instead, they invent their own laws and impose their own punishments, and pull isolated verses from the bible to justify their Phariseeims.
Antinomianism is abominable to the Lord. This site is our humble contribution to spreading knowledge about God’s Law, in its entirety, so that those who have an ear, might hear.
“Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me.
I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.
I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts.” (Psa 119:98-100)
